Acoustic Optimization is a Pittsburgh-based laboratory dedicated to providing solutions to musicians through science and ingenuity. AA was founded around a patented proprietary process called “Acoustic Optimization” (AO1™), invented to improve the acoustic resonance and amplitude of acoustic guitars and other fine wooden instruments.
The process was developed by Frank Sanns, a scientist whose accomplishments include patents ranging from aerodynamic polymers found on Corvettes to nuclear fusion reactors. Frank was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal as well as on Wired.com.
The instruments that undergo the AO1™ process become permanently optimized in a way that will please the most discriminating guitarists in the world.
